It is no wonder that even Web Designers are sometimes daunted by the intricacies and differences in these terms. Editing rules are one of the most commonly used terms on the Internet. When you write something on your website, it is said to be edited. If you are not familiar with the editing rules of the Internet, you can read some articles on this topic. However, knowing how to insert images and text automatically without any help can be a challenge for Web Designers.

When you are creating your business website, you have to know the common website terminology to make sure you get the best results from your efforts.

If you are not aware of the terms used in the editing process, you will end up creating something that looks amateurish. The images you use should be resized to fit the website page size. If they are not resized appropriately, your visitors will see scaling artefacts when they try to view your site. In addition to scaling issues, your images might be placed in the wrong location, creating weird shadows or blurry images. To avoid these problems, always create your pictures 2nd, using the PNG cropping option.

Another of the common website terminology used is the left link area drop-down menu.

This drop-down menu appears when you hover the cursor over a link. This menu shows the current link contents such as text, images, or links. The cursor indicates the current position of the cursor and may change when you click on a link. Therefore, you must learn the basics of navigating your website.

One other important term is the UPC number.

Upc is an indexing used to identify content on a website that has been rated by an independent third-party tool. When an individual rate a site for usability, accessibility, and user friendliness, the website’s UPC number will appear. Websites with high UPC numbers will typically receive positive reviews and will receive more traffic. Therefore, the content of the site will increase in popularity, leading to increased sales and profits. For example, if your website receives a rating of five, it is likely that you will see an increase in sales.

One more term, you should become familiar with is the left link area drop-down menu.

This drop-down menu displays a list of web pages in a given product category. It may display one, two or three links depending on the width of the displayed product category. Left link area can display one, two or three text links at a time. Left link area is especially useful for displaying alternate keywords that describe the same product or service.

Another commonly used term is the product line page.

The product line page is a single web page that presents information on one type of product. For example, if you are selling shoes, you could have a single product line page such as Your Shoe Shop. Underneath the product line pages is a navigation menu such as Home, About Us, Contact Us and the Webmaster. Navigation menus under products allow the user to move quickly between sections and sub-categories. For example, if a user wants to find out more about the different types of running shoes, they would click on Running, Men’s Running, Training and Fitness and so on.
