10 Tools For App Design

As a professional designer you know just how important it is to have the right tools for App Design. It’s just like anything else, if you don’t have them you can’t achieve your desired results. So without further delay let’s take a look at what these 10 must have tools are for App Designers.

10 Tools for App Design

The first tool is of course a good camera.

With a quality camera you’ll be able to capture great images and videos, which will help you to create amazing App designs. The best cameras today are the Sony Cyber-shot Coolpix S100 and the iPhone 4. You need a reliable camera, that can handle both still and motion. Find a good one that doesn’t require you to use lots of battery power.

Next you need to have a good to do list.

You need to organise your work and ensure everything gets done on time. Create sub lists for each project and label them accordingly. The best way to organise your list is to use a photo sharing service such as Flickr or Google+

Once you’ve got your project organisation in place you need to think about a few things.

First of all you need to decide on a theme. This will make your App appear more professional and allow you to build a better website. Choose a topic that gets you involved with the design process, so you don’t end up wasting time. Think about the main use of your App, whether its for business or entertainment, and focus on that. You should also consider whether your App will be suitable for iPhones or Android devices.

Next you need to decide on a unique URL for your App.

Your App URL should tell visitors what your site is about, what your App does, and what it can do for them. Don’t include your Company name or logo in your App’s URL. This will make your App appear amateur and may even leave customers wondering about your motives.

Once you’ve designed your App you need to make it available for mobile devices.

A great option is to create a mobile website, which is compatible across all major cell phone providers. If you have your own hardware then this will be entirely free of charge. If you’re not sure whether you can do this, then speak to a web designer and an Apple developer to find out more. The only real limits are the size of your target audience and the amount of memory and storage space available to you.

You should also use a variety of media including images, text and code samples.

You should also avoid repeating your content. Rather use it sparingly to establish a relationship with your audience. A final tip would be to make sure you have links leading to your App on Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and many other browsers.

Hopefully by now you’ll have realised that there’s a whole lot more to App Design than just coding.

You’ll also need to use creativity and imagination when developing an App. So don’t be afraid to get your creative juices flowing. This is your chance to create something unique that people will enjoy using.

A good app builder will help you design your App in a step by step manner.

You should be able to drag and drop items into your App and add as many items as you like. You’ll also be able to add relevant button controls and labels to each item. In general, you’ll need to enter relevant data into your forms and drop-downs.

Don’t forget to use a website builder.

You can either use Dreamweaver or Microsoft Front Page. These both provide you with a visually pleasing interface. Even if you’re not that good with HTML, you should still be able to design a professional App.

Some other really useful App Design tools include Logo Designers, which allows you to design a logo for your App.

I’ve used these before so they worked well for me. Another tool I highly recommend is Webflow, which allows you to create fluid websites. With these and other tools, you should be able to create a high quality App fast and easy.
